Semi-Frameless Shower Enclosures
If someone tries to sell you a frameless shower that has any aluminum surrounding the edge, it is not a true frameless shower. The showers below are considered semi-frameless because aluminum surrounds the perimeter of the shower. When possible, we steer customers toward frameless showers because they simply look nicer, but sometimes semi-frameless is a better option, particularly for fiberglass stalls that are not real tile.
-
Semi-frameless can sometimes cost less than frameless glass showers as they use thinner glass and are common for landlords and homeowners who do not want to update tile
-
Semi-frameless are typically 3/16"-1/4" thick glass
-
Frames can be used to cover fiberglass stains from a previous shower enclosure without new tile/masonry work
